I tried finding diagrams or any information online, but I could not find anything on the correct hookup of the vacuum hoses for the sistema altimetrico. Perhaps you guys might be able to help me out or find the system interesting.
Its from a 1991 car from Puebla.

Do those hoses so close to the pulley concern you? Perhaps it’s the picture making them look closer then they are

Oh, they are captured by the accelerator buffer hose. My main issue with it is the valve on the left the black one connected to the relay on the firewall. Have no idea where that goes. |

I definitely find the carburetor interesting. It looks like it's got a vacuum operated main-jet. (They used to sell manually adjustable main-jets years ago and I regret not picking up a few.)
I hope someone out there can give you some insight and information. |

Hi everyone, I am still on the hunt for a mexican beetle, and came across this 1990 model, but I don't recognise the lime green plastic ball fitted on the left side of the engine compartment. The engine is a 1600 and the car was built in 1990. Can anyone help please? |
Don't see too many model year 1990 Beetles. It a vacuum reservoir (#2):
A closer look at one:
AFAIK it does not fit on the ACD engines. |

Thank you for the link to the correct post.
I am so perplexed now as I figured that valve had the cap on it added at some point after a hose disintegrated on the solenoid (number 7).
Looks like I am missing a non return valve on the system as well. This may lead to lost vacuum. |
