I want to remove the driver’s side interior panel in a 68 bay. I managed to remove clips but it’s being held in the middle by the armrest. Is there a special trick to getting the armrest off so the panel will be free. Thanks.

Arm rest?, you'll have t post a picture of that, 68's didn't come with them in the front.

Or do you mean the fresh air duct that leads from the very front of the door to the very back?

The backseat armrest behind the driver’s seat, not the armrests on the fresh air ducts.

There seems to be fasteners on the panel but they are difficult to get to. I’ll check underneath.

it's held on by 2 phillips head screws (or should be)

and as I recall, there will be a "finger" welded to the support brace and you kind of have to lift it upwards to release the armrest once the screws are removed
