Replacing the transmission input shaft seal on my 1963 bug. Anyone know a good tool to install it correctly?

A little Permatex aviation sealant on the outside of the new seal, and a little engine oil on the inside of the new seal and the transmission shaft itself, and a few taps with a 6-inch length of 1-inch schedule 40 PVC pipe got it installed evenly and completely

I found the jack handle method to be just a bit too far away, it works, but I like to be able to see the seal when I'm tapping on it.
