With so very little of the original car left, it can hardly be called a Karmann Ghia anymore. This guy has some serious skills though...

I have read a few articles about this car and it is a very impressive and out of the box concept. While it may not be your classic restoration, it does a great job of introducing the ghia to an audience that may not know the lovely ghia. Also, from my perspective, VWs have a long and varied history of people undertaking extensive modifications mechanically and visually.

Yes the original build topic started in this forum in 2008 but was quickly moved to "Reader's Rides" where it has now clocked up 30 pages.

It was moved as it's already been said, because it had minimal Ghia content: https://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/viewtopic.php?t=335244
