$8.90 throttle boot replacement from Amazon. This is for a motorcycle clutch linkage.

The Vanagon parts suppliers usually only stock the whole $25 throttle cable as a replacement for a dry rot boot. More $$ and FAR more effort to replace.

Literally 1 bolt to loosen. Cut away the old one. Slide the new on on. Ziptie end closest to the TB. Reinstall cable in bolt and tighten.

10min of effort. It'll take you longer to gather your tools.

Nice. I've been nursing along the OG cable with regular application of dry-lube,
but this looks simple and effective. I do have a new spare cable on hand, but
I'm saving that for an inconvenient emergency night time side of the road fix...
