have bezels
Chrome ring with the 4 tabs..
lamp
clips
bulb holder

doesnt make sense when I try putting them together. put the ring on the outside and tried to put the lamp assy from the inside and it doesnt seem to fit without bending out the little tabs on the chrome ring (new)

couldnt find directions.... any help?

When you remove the tailight housing from the car, the rubber seal, mounting bracket and bulb holder remain attached to the car. The reflector, lens and seal are held in with the clip. The bezel with the 4 tabs is attached to the housing at the front. The tabs will have to be carefully bent. Also, if you have separated the lens from the reflector, those little tangs or tabs will have to be bent to keep the lens tight. The seal, lens and reflector are installed as a unit and inserted from the back and held in place with the clip. Do this after you have installed the chrome bezel. You may also find a dark plastic liner that sits up inside of the lens. Sometimes these have been removed to have brighter taillights.

I couldn't find a good photo reference for you, so I created some for you and others that may need it.

The fit on reproduction parts is not always the best. I don't know if you still have the original parts to compare. I was able to use my original 1960 taillights and except for the rubber seals, everything else was OK. Is the lens original or has the taillight housing been worked on? Good luck!

The tabs have to be bent over and up. Search for snowflakes in the classifieds. Lots of pictures of the housings from the inside in the classifieds pictures. Here's a good one showing how the tabs need to be bent.

Here is just the bezel, you can see the bend needed here. With this picture though, it has been "unbent" in order to remove it from the housing. Once back in the housing the tab will need to be bent outward a little.

Is there a seal between thr chrome bezel and housing? Another seal between red lens and chrome. I cannot find these listed anywhere and without them water can come right in.
