90 weekender, I took my gal in for an AC repair, they noticed the transmission was leaking fluid, so they fixed it. Now its hesitating all over the place. Driver confidence at zero especially on hills. It only works properly if I slowly increase speed, but even then sometimes it will not catch the next gear and the RPM's zoom up.
The shop warranties their repairs, but I am just curious what could have been done to cause this? I know ZERO about the mechanics of engines and transmissions, but eager to learn..... Loose screw? Simple fix or is this another VW rabbit hole. |

Check the fluid level, and make sure the transmission is not leaking still, just in case...
Member Kourt regularly posts the Bentley/VW trans fluid level check procedure, so follow along and learn how to read the dipstick on your Automatic Transmission, even if you don’t plan on ever working on it. _________________ '68 Westy- my first VW and vehicle/Bus- long gone.- sold it to a traveling Swiss couple....
