i've got a 1963 volkswagen dune buggy. i was wondering if i can put a porsche motor in it. if so what would it take.

Yes, depending on the porsche motor. But, if you're interested in this because your neighbor said he had a Porsche motor in his bug back in the day ("and it was super fast"), then don't worry about it.

Porsche engines are expensive. You can build a bigger, stronger, faster Type-1 VW Engine for a lot less moolah.

remember, you can put any motor you want into any vehicle, its a matter of how much money and how much fab work is required!

KEP makes adapters for non vw engines. IF you wanted to front the cash for a new tranny and the engine, you COULD run a corvette LS1
