I have the steelies and caps too. I like both looks. But I do lean towards bigger wheels less sidewall. I know that’s outside of the vw norm but I like the diversity.

I like the look! Nice overall stance too....not to low or to high. For my 2 cents, go with factory style bumpers with built in turn signals(remove fender mounted units) or maybe even color code the bumper to match exterior paint. But 1st install chrome bumper as is and stand back and evaluate which direction you want to go.

Trying to decide. I am going back with something that’s NOT the shock stock 74 bumpers. Was leaning towards the blade style. Just gotta figure out the bracket setup.

You bet! This car came out of my aunts barn. She was the original owner and the car was virtually untouched from new.

As far as I know, no one makes brackets. They do for 68-73 but the shock mounts are different.

Stock bumpers don't look that bad.

Love that red! Yep I think if I could modify the stock brackets and tuck the bumpers closer to the body I’d be happy w the stockers.

If the bumpers are too close the frunklid and decklid will hit the bumper.

I've seen people cut the ends off the stock shock mounts and wild in some pipe cut to length.

Love this setup bro, when you say 2" narrowed beam Do you mean an adjustable 2 inch narrowed beam? or drop spindles with the narrowed beam?

I'm curious of the last question also.
Looking to come out with the same stance and tire.
