In a never ending struggle to keep my Subaru powered van reliable I decided to buy a GW Alloy coolant tank. I bought it over the other tank because it has a Level window in it and uses a stock Coolant float.
Once I got it I realized that the level window is now on the back side of the tank and will not help me there. One part of me said just install it, as it is way better than a plastic type tank except you can't see into it.
So off to my Fabricator I went, he plugged the window hole and made up a new bung and welded it in on the opposite side of the tank. Once I got it back I knew it had to go out and be anodized, as I dislike aluminum corroding as many untreated engine products do. I don't know why companies that make alloy products do not anodize them.
I will install it in a day or two and post pictures of it installed. I spent as much on the Mods as I did on the tank. No one said this was a cheap hobby.

I will have it installed next week. I am visiting Dave in Tahoe for some work and hoping we can do this at the same time.
It should work like a charm. I did order a Quality Stant cap for it and will throw the the No Name cap in my spares bag.

is it anodized clear or do we not have a photo of the anodized tank yet? Clear is really slow. Blue is faster and red is fastest.

It is anodized clear. I had a few choices, but green was not one of them so I went clear.
