Can you provide a pic of your tail and where you want to have the seats?

The floor of a buggy should be like 16 gauge aluminum, preferably 6061 T6 or steel sheet of 18-20 ga. Some like to let sand fall out using 16 ga expanded steel.

The floor should NEVER be used to mount seats, pedals, belts, etc. There should be frame structure, such as 1" 065 wall tube to mount seats to. That's what the seats are mounted to in my Hi Jumper that you see in my avatar. Plenty strong enough for offroad racing.

First pic shows the tabs for the front of the seat mounts and a double shear tab for the crotch belt whoch points straight to the hole in the seat for that belt.
Second pic shows the bar ( tube) and tabs for the rear seat mounts.

Weld some square tube in there.

No need to add extra tubes or stress what to mount the back edge of the floor to.

My Hi Jumper never had any square tube to mount the floor. No angle stock. Never had any tubes on the torsion housing. Tabs on the side tubes and on the center tube near the torsion housing takes care of the back edge of the floor panel.
