Anyone else have original dealer decals or signs on your bus? Share your pics...

Any suggestions on how to preserve them and keep them from getting damaged? Clearcoat over the decal itself?

Here's mine, on Jacksonville, FL delivered '66 bus:

It's in pretty good shape and I am careful around it when waxing. It's lasted 44 years so far, hoping to keep it going as long as I can.

I think a piece of 3M Scotchcal over one would do a good job, but I haven't tried it yet...

I have a Glass VW sticker on my truck, but it's barely visible.

Found this on a bus I sadly couldn't save. It's from the same dealership my grandfather bought his buses. Hello, wall art!

Brown Motors was the first VW dealer in Tulsa, Oklahoma and this sticker is on our 1960 single cab.

Here is a photo of an original vinyl styler sticker on my og paint 66 SO-42.

And here is a photo of the dealer sticker repop that I had made at a local sign shop. Digital photo of the original loaded into their printer and an exact copy made on vinyl which appears to be just as the original when new. The repop will be used when and if the SO-42 ever gets repainted.
