Here one for the engine builders, specs are:
2074cc
5.5 Heams
fk 8 w 1:4's
044 heads , turned over with about 2 fingers ,so no pinched bearings,,
I had this on my test stand with oil in it and 'turned over repeatedly w/starter"
then decided to sell the deep sump off it Rolling Eyes now it won't turn over CLOCKWISE ,,only backward counterclockwise Embarassed WTF? I'm tearing it down Mad Maybe a chipmunk got an acorn stuck in there???

Is it fully stuck or does it move slightly and then hit something?

Pickup tube thing got twisted around when you yanked out that sump? Think

Did you leave the ratchet on the crank pulley? Laughing just kidding

Did you take the rockers and pushrods out?

I am assuming the flywheel is on and torqued to spec with correct endplay.

I would think something in the gear housing thats acting like a ratshit letting it rotate one way but not the other. have you fliped the engine around? was there a nut or somethen on a sump stud that came loose like the puckup sttd nut and it's posiably doing that to the crank agnist the case? have you asked your chip monk?

Well there's your problem, right there! Very Happy

Curious where that stud came from and how it got there.

Oh, and I dropped a FP stud into the obis a few years ago. It was the last fastener I needed to install to complete the build.
Got to do the build all over as the stud was lodged behind the cam gear. Shocked
