his brown wire has a small female connector, not the 1/4" or so many others have. It is hanging around the left side of the gauges. I do not see anything on the rear of the pod, or anywhere else it may go. Couldn't locate it in the Bentley either.
Bonus points if you know what the yellow/blue wire is for. It was taped to something by a PO. Seems like it originates from the rear of the fuse box but I haven't dropped the box to see.

This is for an 89 Syncro Doka?
Ground wire likely for a toggle switch at cluster. Or, for light bulb at lower portion of dash. e.g. heat/defrost lever face plate.
It might help others to ID that other wire if you show the connector on it.
