Hey all, Working on a 59' for a customer. After a short test drive, the clutch tube broke free inside the tunnel.
Anyone have any dimensions on where to cut the holes in the tunnel on a 59' for welding-repiar? |

Try it first minimal invasive.
You can remove the e-brake handle and drill two holes right and left from the tube. Take some sheet metal and fold a little bracket that could be attached to a welding wire with one weld spot. With the help of that wire you can lead the bracket through the e-brake opening and pulling it against the tube and with its two laps against both drilled holes. A second person can weld the bracket from the other side (underside) through both holes, also filling them.
The welding wire to be broken off the bracket easily afterwards.
