Hello everyone!

I purchase a 1975 VW Bus for my daughter and we are working really hard to restore and making it safe. When I purchased the bus it came with a homemade Z-bed and a middle seat. Unfortunately, the middle seat does not look original to the bus because I can see it originally had a full size middle seat based on the bolt pattern. I’m going to advertise the middle seat fir sale but not sure the year? Does anyone have any idea what year or how I can figure it out??

Thanks for any help

all bays have the holes for the full length seat. That does not look like a bay middle seat. When you do find one, lots of folks just want to get rid of them. I paid $50 for mine. Some folks will put OUTRAGEOUS prices on them like $1000+/-. You can find them in good condition for a lot less. Here is an example of what they look like.

That's not a VW seat, your M code plate behind the LF seat will tell you what it came with. Post a pic of the plate for decoding.

I included the plate. You don’t think this seat belongs to a VW bus at all?? I thought the brackets on the bottom were added because the seat was installed facing toward the sliding door.

Thanks

Wrong plate (sticker in that case), slide the seat forward, there's a stamped metal plate painted body color riveted to the bulkhead further in to the right, it's a bit bigger than a business card.
