I'm always looking for unusual cars and would love to have a Brasilia but they don't come up anywhere close to me in the NW United States. Seems every time I look at the "other VW/Porsche vehicles" ads I see several interesting cars listed by "Upstream Trading" in Brazil. Has anyone had any dealings with them? I've searched the forums many times but I've found only one post by the owner touting his service.
Someone must have bought a car from him, I see his ads all the time. Please, tell me how was your experience? |

I have yet to see ANYTHING come out of Brazil that I would own. Alot of paint, but thats about it. Guess you can use your head $7800 for a RESTORED vehicle....that just doesnt happen ANYWHERE. You havent seen any buyers on any of the forums......because there arent many. Hey, you want to know where you can get a VW bus with NO belly pans.............................BRAZIL...I guess thay are filling a need. Do you need to be next? I dont have to own one to see what they are.

I've seen some brazilian buses in my area, one at a show in fact. It looked pretty good, but I don't know which dealer the guy got it from.
No belly pans, yeah, but I've gone to shows where the german buses also don't have belly pans, so there's that, too. It's not the end of the world.
If you need belly pans that are pre-drilled, they are actually pretty cheap rn for 550 on grumpysmetal.com |

I'm not sure what advantage there would be buying from brazil. at least if one comes up for sale in the US somebody on the samba might be able to check it out plus the import papers would be sorted.
there is also brazilian classic cars https://www.brazilianclassiccars.com/
and combikombi https://www.combikombi.com/search/?_sft_category=i...rasilia-en
note - the above is not a recommendation as I have not used either of them _________________ "we're here on Earth to fart around" kurt vonnegut

This is an interesting but seemingly uninformed way of looking at it. Maybe I'm wrong about your knowledge level but for anyone else, belly pans are there for a reason. If speaking about the typical painted/sunroof clipped shiney Brazilian, adding belly pans after the fact is like buying a completely remodeled house and then afterwards fixing the broken foundation. _________________ Stop dead photo links! To be even more clear, only German Buses with sunroofs or Buses that are double-doors (cargo doors on both sides) have belly pans.
Or a few Buses that had them special ordered.
So Yes, it's very easy to see a German Bus with no belly pans and have that be correct. _________________ How to Post Photos

Good point
The Brazilian Buses are definitely questionable but in terms of Brasilias and other cars, I suspect there may be some better examples kicking around down there.
Why? Because I've seen some cars like that at USA shows and they are usually pretty nice looking. _________________ How to Post Photos
