| My son popped the clutch, and now it won't go anywhere. It makes a banging noise when you push on the gas, and it won't drive. |

before pulling the engine to check for broken cloth/pressure plate, check for:
stripped drum splines.
broken axle
broken spider gears |

Ladt time I dumped my clutch, I broke both cv joints on the same side.

A stripped rear drum spline on either side is easiest thing to check, and not too uncommon.

I bet it is the throw out bearing holder. Or it could be some of the springs in the clutch the fell out. One reason to use the rigid clutch disc.

Maybe i should stop popping clutch in mine... Didnt think a little 1600 has that in it.

If the OP can shift into different gears and still no forward motion that it's not clutch related unless the "entire" pressure plate failed which is very unlikely! |

| You didn't do any work to the axles or trans recently? If so it could be slipped axles. |
