The June Bug show was excellent, under ideal weather- sunny, low humidity; and mid 70's. Here are some photos of the aircooleds' rows. I'll post photos of some individual cars later.

Some noteworthy VWs at June Bug:
Herbie "tribute", with a pearlescent effect paint, large-displacement Type 4 engine with Raby DTM fan shroud:

Rear of the black Beetle cabrio. Note the fuel filler flap in the right front quarter panel indicating a '69+; early fenders and engine lid makes an effective "early look". Engine air intake (Porsche 356?) and chromed license plate light.

'67 with Weber 48 IDA carb'ed engine, specially sewn seats and door panels:

My favorite car in the show: '69 Ghia Coupe. I spoke with the owner for several minutes to learn about the car. He and his wife used clips from different cars to replace the accident-damaged areas, mild custom dash, 1641 cc mostly internally stock engine with Weber 34 ICTs and single-outlet Vintage Speed exhaust. Original color Sunset Orange.
