Before I go scratching up this rare glass I’m asking for help. The body shop removed the window and the rear short track but did not reinstall it. I tried to get it back in but got stumped. What’s the secret? Got to be from below, right?

I finally figured out how to reinstall the front door glass. The problem was the body shop pulled it out when all the channel and chrome trims were out. I tried to install the window after I put back all the trims and channels. You can’t do it that way with the lift bracket still clamped on the glass. So, here is how to do it if your trims and channels are still in place…
Remove the clamped lift bracket from the glass. You have to drop the glass in from the top from the outside side of the door. It is because of the curve in the glass. Also make sure that the short rear channel/guide is removed. Two screws hold it on the rear door edge. From the top angle the glass into the window opening in the door. It will then allow you to set the glass in the bottom of the door cavity. Now you have to reinstall the lower clamping lift bracket to the glass and bolt it to the appropriate level on the lift. Crank the window all the way up and closed. Now you have to slide the rear bracket/guide up and back into place and fasten the two mounting screws. Adjustments can now be made for proper window operation. Hope this helps someone in the future.

Yep...I did not have time to answer today...but you got it exactly. Pull the clamp off the bottom of the glass, slide the glass end from the top at an angle...right it...install the guide to keep it righted, install bottom clamp and adjust.
