I am fairly new to VW's and I have a question regarding what year chassis will fit a 65 Ghia body. I did some research and it looks like chassis from bugs will fit if Ghia pans are installed. If somebody can verify if this is true and there are no other issues to watch out for that would be great. Also, if somebody can let me know what year range of chassis (Bug/Ghia) that are the same as the 65 Ghia chassis, that would be great.
Thanks! |

I PM’d you about a 1967 Ghia pan in Bonita.
But to answer your question, a bug chassis with Ghia pans would work, but you would have to register and title the car as a Beetle. The VIN numbers are model specific. You are better off finding a Ghia pan. Up to 1968 would work best as they are all swing axle like your 65. If you want an IRS rear then you could look for a 69-74. _________________ Go Reds!
