Hey guys
I’m looking for a roof top cargo basket to go over the cab on my country home camper vanagon. Like where the luggage storage is located on the westy’s.
Any ideas on where to look or is there a go to brand people use? All my google searches keep pulling up baskets that are way too long. Looking for something like 50” wide and like 25-28” long.
I’m assuming the best way to mount it would be with Thule / Yakima rain gutter mounts and bars. Any other ideas?
Thanks! |

check in with the Split bus guys, they have short ones for infront of the small poptops and single cabs.

I wonder if the Westy luggage rack will fit in front of your pop-top. Maybe with trimming the rear 1" - 2"? It might look okay or it may make it look like a Franken van. @Steve M. runs the one on his pretty tin-top.

Guilty as charged.
Current: 1990 Westy Camper - Bostig RG4, 2wd, manual trans w/Peloquin, NAHT high-top, 280 ah LFP battery, 160 watts solar, Flash Silver, seam rust, bondo, etc., etc.
Past: 1985 Westy Camper - 1.9 wbx, 2wd, manual trans, Merian Brown, (sold after 17 years to Northwesty who converted it to a Syncro). |

Thanks a bunch guys!
I don’t know how silly the westy luggage piece would look with a country homes pop top and I’d probably have to customize it. And I haven’t seen a used for sale for awhile. |

I had a country homes top before I converted it to a westy top. I used a yakima basketcase on the CHC rack over the cab. It worked perfectly and I still have it. Do you want to buy it? |
