40K Mixture screw not working

Greetings,
Just referred my dual 40k carbsnon my 1800 type 4. CHanged idle, and primary ,’Primary jets and Venturi.
For some reason, my mixture screw is not changing the engine operation now. Any info on what could be causing this?

maybe it was bottomed too hard and caused the seat to be damaged, or come loose. Or it could be an air leak, or the throttle plate is too far open at idle, with the transition ports exposed and letting out so much fuel that the idle mixture has no effect.

Thanks. Needle seat is ok. Opened the throttle plate just 1 turn to ensure primary ports remained closed.
I may have installed one of the gaskets backwards or something. Going to tear it down and reassemble.
