So, for some of you, the cost of the tool outweighs the pro's of having a versatile tool? |
Non-tool people, knowing that I like tools, have purchased combinational tools for me over the years.
That I never use.
Like "NEVER".
And I "wish" I could use them, if nothing else just as a thanks for the gift.
And secondly to not be a waste of resources.
And I have to 'store' them because I can't throw away a gift.
On that tool, a video (or even a still-photo) of how it saves time over the conventional tool would go a long, long way.
We're "pages in" and have only seen a pic of the gang-of-four. _________________

I used to like such all-in-one tools, even the magic socket that fits any nut with its array of pins. If I could only choose a small number of tools those jack-of-all-trade tools fit the bill.
But over the years I have essentially duplicated my garage tool set, at least those I might need on the road (Muir Phase 1 and 2), so I don't use the universal ones anymore. Better to do this from swap meet/garage sale tool sources, I think.
Where space and weight are more of a premium, like on a bike, they may make much more sense. |

Just a bit of machine on that wheel bearing nut and it will open a beer. Then it will sell at $87,99

Good to see that you took Abscate"s suggestion and the new version will now open a beer. |
