More interesting details that seemed odd at first.
The bracket mentioned above to secure the rear seat cabinet on the drivers side seems to always be painted L466 silver beige and not body color. Here are two more examples:
Another detail that I thought was just some random overspray when I noticed it on my SO42. The rear section of the wiring harness for the lights painted blue. I've seen this on a few SO42's now but have no idea why its like that.

I assumed it was a wiring sleeve that was blue and not paint. _________________

Interesting, are the green, blue & white buses bulk-head (non-walk-through)? My April 67 SO42 is a walk-through and that line is white not blue.

This is my 2nd of May '67 production SO42 split seat before restoration. Blue conduit all the way past the fuel tank ending at a fuse holder near the voltage regulator. I always thought they were all blue conduit.

This is where the blue conduit ends up. Fuse holder with an 8 amp fuse and plugged into the voltage regulator + side.

Plastic Conduit is White on early 1965 SO42 and is marked "Veubenfischer" if my eyes are making that out properly

Wow, I have never looked that closely at the conduit. I think what is printed on the conduit is EUGENFISCHER. There is a German company by that name. My 2 cents worth.

Hard to make out on 60 year old conduit but you might be right. I see KEFischer is still very much in business in Germany |

Would it be possible to post the inner workings of that fuse relay for the lights and what size/shape of fuse it requires? |

It’s just a fuse holder made out of bakelite I believe… not a relay. The fuse is an 8 amp white colored. The normal fuses that were used in 60s and 70s aircooled VWs, like in your bus fuse panel. If you want close up pics. I can post them.

It's just a fuse holder (not a relay) like seen here:

srfndoc, I just went to the garage and it appears my painter over sprayed the pearl white cargo floor and covered some of my wire. It is indeed blue also. Thanks for posting that.
Confirmed, my April 67 walk through pearl white pop top has blue wire also. I'll be removing that overspray along with some other spots before installing my new flooring.

When I went camping last spring break at Bolsa Chica and used the shore power, I ripped my Leviton electrical plug boot.
I bought one from Ebay that I wasn't satisfied with. Joey and Paul in SC let me know that Jacek in Poland is repoping them. I decided to buy one from Jacek.
The quality is nice and I highly recommend Jacek's over the others that can be found online. _________________

I concur.
If you need a tank for your kit that is between Fabrik 851-5399, this is a hell of a deal and the odds of finding another is very low. It also includes the water pump, filler cap, and water tank drain plug which by their selves would be challenging to piece together. _________________
