The 67' beetle that I have has been in a small front-end collision. The previous owner had an aftermarket front clip put on and now the front hood, which is aftermarket as well, will not fit correctly. I am looking to replace the entire front end. I already have a good OEM front hood and a donor car for everything else except both quarter panels.
My question is, who manufactures the best 60'-67' quarter panels? There is not much to choose from being the later model. Most you have to weld up the gas door that comes on the later panels.
So far, I have found a left and right NOS quarter panel, but wouldn't you know it, the pressings are different, and the bumper brackets do not match. If anyone has a line on a matching set of NOS that would be the best choice obviously. |

You are not going to find a NOS panel with the correct pressing unless it is an early replacement panel. The stamping was not important for collision parts and since a late panel is functionally the same a replacement panel will generally fit the whole year range. So for a ā67 it would be ā67+ cars all being the same. Iām pretty sure DKB and wolf make an early front quarter. _________________ '67 Beetle L41
