Hey folks. Found this at a local shop which was closing but I cant confirm what its for. Has test plug so ~71+ but some of these connectors are puzzling. Its pretty thick at what looks to be the firewall grommet but I cant pinpoint it.

By the type and shape of the plugs I would think early passat/golf.

The early Golf/Rabbit panel and subsequent CE1 panel use round pins for the bulk connectors. This harness appears to be for the CE2 panel (Golf II and early Golf III):

Agreed the fusebox conns look similar but the other ones I've mever seen before. The circular one, the Cresent ones, etc...i dont think early rabbits and golfs had ones like this and this harness is THiCC...like it belongs on a truck or option loaded car.

Also the diagnostic port...this was introduced in 71 and gone by 79 from what Ive been reading?

Anyone? Early Passat/Dasher most likely? Even with the thick firewall plug? I was thinking LT/80 but there's not much out there.
