Hello all,
I have an 83 Westfalia with some body rust, mainly on the front underneath the windshield. Looking for some best practices on how to tackle this. How much does it impact the value of the van if I decided to sell without addressing this? The van runs great and all other aspects are in good condition. Thanks for your help.

Some people would not be deterred by that rust, others would decide to look for another vehicle.
Or put another way, Rustbelt prospective buyers would think 99% of the VW is still there…
What’s hidden behind your front windshield is the unknown.
Channel/nose edge could be decent, or holey… _________________ '68 Westy- my first VW and vehicle/Bus- long gone.- sold it to a traveling Swiss couple....

the driver side lower corner of the window looks concerning. once rusted, water will work through there and then drip right down onto rather a lot of wiring, quickly speeding up any corrosion on the ground crown. _________________ 84 Vanagon Westy, 1.9L, California raised but defected to Canada. |
