I found these strange pouches in my convertible when doing some work. I don't have a clue what they are or what they are for. They look like they might be made from headliner material turned inside out and they are filled with fluff that looks similar to the insulation used around the heat duct mufflers.
There was one on each side, under the area where the convertible top hinge mechanisms fold.
Any ideas what these might be? Are they factory? Maybe to absorb leaking water? _________________ 1971 Ghia Convertible Auto-stick |

Really? They are only about 6-8" tall and 3" thick.
I found them laying on the "floor" behind and to the sides of the rear seat area. Is this where they were originally placed? Or did they fall there from somewhere else? _________________ 1971 Ghia Convertible Auto-stick |

Look like the padding that goes next to the rear window sides. |
