I'm guessing the smashing waves are out in Tofino, if he drove through Cathedral Forest, he would have headed out there to see long beach

Bay Bridge....and more when you start looking.
Its interesting in this trip by the end of it they have mastered the Super 8 Camera compared to the start. Filmed from the passenger seat is cool but it bumps the camera every time when it hits a tar joint!
Florida and NY pictures show way lower traffic as well which will be coming up. More than 30 minutes on this big round trip on film!

Thank you for sharing these films! I believe the "oil storage" section of the first film you posted is actually on Highway 101 between Santa Barbara and Ventura. The facilities are still there today with the mountains in the background. Huntington Beach does not have mountains like that inland. |

| i believe that the bee hive burner was at a mill called tashis, located on the waterfront in Port Alberni which is on your way to Tofino, which is also the end of the trans Canada Hwy.looking at the waterfront right now. |
