Repro Seats?

So I was at a VW show a couple weeks ago in my split. As always I ask around for stock seats as my car has later front seats in it. A guy tells me he saw reproduction seats in Europe "many times". I've never heard of any repros being made. Anyone ever seen any? Seems like that would be something we would hear about if it's true.

Well I got lucky and found a set out of a 51. In perfect condition too!! Not cheap but fair enough for me to get them. Now just bumpers and some 16" tires and get the upholstery redone. Getting closer!
