Yanase were the japanese importers of vw cars from 1953 and in 1964 offered a special coupe body on a vw 1200 floorpan. the body was made of steel and a special feature was the removable clear perpex roof panel. I've not been able to find out how many YX1200s were made but one survivor was uncovered in 2019.
