Wow, great job! I'm looking forward to seeing the story moving forward. This Adventurewagen definitely found the right home.

Rear seat latch post adapter part two
Pickings were slim in the steel scrap bin at MakerspaceCT, but I found some pieces of 1x3" tubing that had potential.

I contoured two pieces to fit together and form a little trapezoidal box that will include the welded nut for the latch pin. Test fitting found both pieces need some trimming, but the concept should work.

I'm over-engineering this a bit because that's how I roll, but also because the factory mount that will be one of the attachment points is kinda flimsy. The other attachment points will be through the trapezoidal section, fastened to the upper and lower angled section of the recess. The deepest, flattest part of said recess is where the sliding door track is, which rules that out as a place for screws to go. I'll have another chance to visit MakerspaceCT later in the week so I can fine-tune and tack it together for one more trial fitting before final welding and making another for the other side.
