Does anyone have experience with a car cover on a Thing with a hardtop and roof rack. Spoke to the Thing Shop and they couldn’t confirm if their cover would fit with the roof rack.
I am confused by the sheer number of options for covers that are available. Any suggestions? |

Post a photo of the car with the roof rack.
What kind of cover are you looking for - indoor or outdoor or both? |

Given the overall height with the roof rack installed I highly doubt that any Thing specific cover is going to be big enough height wise. I would take some overall measurements and use them to select a cover for a modern SUV that has similar dimensions. _________________ '74 Thing

It seems to me that a Thing with a hard top is shorter than one with the soft top up, just because the hard tops are basically flat.
My Thing cover extends below the center of the wheels (on a soft top car).
Also, the covers I have seen are not perfectly "form fitted"; there's lots of extra room.
So I would not worry too much about the additional 3-4 inches of height from a roof rack.
