The blue bucket!
After the yellow bucket and the brown bucket, there is even a bucket that seems to be the holy grail...
An original Westfalia light blue bucket. Or poo pail, as you like.
It came with its blue plated Westy box. Here in Europe, these buckets have rarely been sold, let alone they have survived at least 45 years...
Over the years, I've already collected 2 yellow buckets and their stool. The set in the middle is even nos!
I set them up for some nice pics.
And yes, the blue set is for sale. The yellow ones I need for my both buses

Is the blue pail more comfortable than the yellow pail? Personally I’m more comfortable on the brown pail. It was made for crossword puzzles from TV guide and short stories from Readers Digest. The yellow pail feels more rushed, better suited for a word jumble or Highlights magazine. I just haven’t spent any time on the blue pail to get a good feel for it. Maybe Time Life or WSJ would be appropriate for the blue pail. Enjoy _________________ Keep on Busin'

Are these various coloured pails clearly marked with the maximum capacity and seating payload or referenced in the owners' user manuals, in a similar way to the sleeping berths & bunks!?!
This could be rather important, considering that the mean & median weights of male & female Americans have significantly increased since 1968~79 VW Type 2 Westfalia motor-caravans & campervans were manufactured!
I have never heard of any British specification, 1968~79 VW Type 2 Westfalia motor-caravans being supplied with any pails of any colour, with or without associated stools.

There was a movement to the blue pail, endorsed by the Throne on the 1970s, but it was soon eliminated , and the plans scattered to the wind. _________________ 🇺🇸 🇺🇸 🇺🇸 🇺🇸 🇺🇸 🇺🇸 🇺🇸 🍊 🍊 🍊 |
