Cip1 Heavy Duty Shift Rod Bushing and Bug Tech Shifter

Does anyone have experience with the Bug Tech shifter and the Cip1 heavy duty shift bushing? I ask because looking at the installation instruction here: https://www2.cip1.com/c24-111-701-259-akit/ it appears that they would be incompatible.

The bushing (which looks like a good solution) replaces the nuts holding on the old shifter. The Bug Tech replaces those already with a allen head bolt. I am guessing it won't work, but wanted to see if anyone had been through this.
