Hello. First time poster. I have a 2001 MV and a 93 Weekender. The 93 was converted from auto to manual a few years ago. The 2001 was sold to a friend who ignored the limp mode and trashed the tranny. It came back to me on a huge discount. I also have an 84 Jeep Scrambler that I converted to fully electric on my own.

I do have a question on the 93. I am fairly happy with the conversion. When warm, it drives smooth, pulls hard and gets good gas mileage. The one problem I have is with cold start. It starts hard, I have to hold idle high for ~30 seconds and then it sputters until the thermostat moves. During this time, I get heavy white smoke. It’s like a light switch, when thermostat moves it runs really well. I have replaced almost every sensor, tried different ECU’s all with no luck. Unfortunately I can’t pull any codes for guidance. Anyone have suggestions? Maybe the is unrelated to the conversion?

R u getting power to the cold start? If yes pull the cold start injecter out and check to see it's working. CAREFULLY.. sometimes no they get clogged up. Down here in the tropicas cold start isnot needed so mine (93) is unhooked. Cold start is just a choke a
Anyway so warm it up,, at least that's what John Muir said..Good Luck ..my 76 bay has no chokes so I. In VT have to warm it up..Bill. PR and VT⁸8
