Gave the little bloke a wash and chamois this morning in preparation for the second annual Dubfest (2024) tomorrow, 17th March 2024.
Was not ready last year so looking forward to the 54 playing with the big boys. Not looking to win anything just having fun and looking at all the cars and catching up with old VW mates and making new ones.
A few Volksy loving mates came together to make this happen. Proceeds go to a local CFA (Country fire Authority Brigade) (which is one of 1200 Brigades of our primary fire fighting body here in Victoria manned entirely by volunteers)
The event is held in the (very large) car park of a Melbourne suburban Hotel. I don't know if there are similar venues in the UK and the USA but in the seventies these huge pubs were built consisting of bars, sports bars, bistros, function rooms and accommodation all on a huge block of land with massive car parks. As kids we had a ball attending gigs by now legendary (and unfortunately often deceased) rock acts.
Will post photos of the event and let you all know how it went.
