Hello all - I have a convertible top frame that was included with a 1965 parts car I purchased, and I'm trying to figure out what year range the frame might actually be. I have it listed for sale here, and don't want to mislead anyone on what year it might actually be. Any ideas on what years it might fit?

| That top frame will fit and work on any 58-68 Ghia convertible. It's the later version with the tubular supports instead of the cast ones. I believe this particular top frame was used on 65-68 Ghias, though i'm not exactly sure when it superseded the pervious version. |

Loren, I am afraif that you are wrong. The top frame is later one i.e. 68 and later, most likely before 72, but will work up to 74.

Yes, it has the later style latches located on the side of the frame. I think that was a mid year 69 change.

Oops  Your both right. It's a later frame. Guess I should start wearing my glasses  Getting old sucks. I've already forgotten more than I will ever know about Ghias! |

| Question - it had a plastic window in the rear when I got it (not a glass windshield). Does that help identify the specific year? |

No, it only means that the top had an aftermarket top installed. The factory installed the glass window tops from mid 69 through to the end of production in 74. Tops with plastic windows are available if someone wants it that way. For how much those rear windows can leak, it probably is not a bad idea.
