Did I wire these correctly? The wiring is not symmetrical on the adapter end and I want to ensure which is correct.

I am installing the H4 upgraded headlights and higher wattage bulbs and want to ensure I will not melt any wires or blow any fuses when I go to put this back together.

I have the high power relays but they are not yet installed. Will there be any risk of overheating the headlight switch if the lights are used before they are installed?

Higher watt halogens obviously draw more current. The factory headlight switch is definitely vulnerable if relays are not installed. If your H4 bulbs are higher than 60 watts, I would not use them without relays.

Not only is the switch marginal for stock wattage bulbs, the fuse panel is marginal too, Often relays are added that protect the switch, but usually that relay is still fed through the stock fuse panel, and then the panel over heats. I have lived this problem. My fuse panel could not take the high watts, so I switched the main light bulbs to LED, and kept the higher watt inner high beam bulbs. This reduced the fuse panel power to a below stock value, but gives me a very bright beam at both high and low beam, The LED two way bulb in the large out housings draw very little current.

Dont cook your switch, nor fuse panel. Dont use high watt bulbs unless BOTH the switch and fuse panel is bypassed with high current rated components.

My notes indicate that you hafta switch the black and red wires at the h4 socket.
Puleez report back if I'm wrong so I can fix my notes, and then go and re-re-re-verify and re-re-re-fix my wiring...
