I'm back. You may be familiar with my past projects that never get done
I've had my '74 Westy since high school, 5 years, and have kept pushing down the list because I get projects that go faster; see police car and ragtop that are going just swell.
Anyway, earlier this year I had to take a step back because I had like 11 cars. I sold quite a few of them, which is tough because I don't sell things, and bought one pretty nice one. Another '74 Westy from Virginia, incredibly solid and runs awesome, albeit with a single Weber, but now we're in the seat.
Here it is in the ad-
Chalky respray, but very little rust.
I drove down with my Dad and checked it out, signed some forms and it was mine. We hit up a Civil War museum while down there and went home. About a 22 hour day.
It showed up midweek around 6AM-
So my plan right now is to leave it well alone. I got new tires-
and have buffed it out-
but that is it. I just want to drive it now. Engine was rebuilt about 1700 miles ago, still want to check it out as it sat around 10 years after that. If you're from VA and know this bus let me know, old plate was "GZUSBUS".
My old bus is off to a new home where it may or may not get fixed, he was very optimistic... like I was, now I'm over it _________________ '67 Beetle L41
