Folks, wanted an opinion from ya'll about the condition. Ok to resuse? Should I spray some reflective paint on there? Any need to clean anything up?
I found that I needed some seals:

anything else?
I also don't know where the other end of that small spade connector goes. Also the rubber grommet, seems like it needs to fit someplace

thanks!

I’d re-use. I’ve gotten new and they are sometimes hard to fit because the plastic is a copy of a copy of a copy. Re-use until they fall apart.

If I’m guessing correctly, that small spade attaches to the rear side marker. It’s for the running lights. I’m sure someone will correct me if I’m wrong.

the grommet goes in one of the u-shaped cutouts on the top or bottom of the housing. then, a plastic backing plate snaps on to the back, covering all the connections.

bus depot has the backing plate. others probably do, too.

any suggestions on paint to 'reflect' light on the housing? I can try rustoleum or something, but was wondering if anyone has better experiences with something else.

I have used white paint inside the tail light unit, but good quality LED bulbs make a much bigger difference, especially when you use bulbs with LED elements on the ends.

by the way, if you’re going to get backing plates, there’s a grommet without a hole to use at the other end of the housing.

211-945-179. hard, but not impossible to find. try allen schofield or heritage parts in the uk.

Source and part number would be nice if you have it. I understand what you mean by elements on the ends, but some others might not.

It would be nice if someone with a 3D printer and a 3D scanner would turn out some nice reproductions.
