German or US built? _________________ Everybody born before 1975 has a story, good, bad, or indifferent, about a VW.

I think US but not sure. Is there an easy way to tell from something on the vehicle? |

So where do I find a new or used wiring kit? Is my ebay or junk yards my only options?
Is it a bad idea to go with a universal wiring kit?
I am thinking of installing a digital screen gauge cluster similar to this one which will require me to modify the original wiring for the gauges: https://www.autometer.com/invision-lcd-dash-universal-panel-mount.html. |
