Karmann ghia tc window regulator

The window regulators on my tc are non originals(altered unknown Vw ones)and are a right mess. Has anybody had any experience with altering a Vw one from another model specifically on a tc who could or point me in the right direction?

aren't they likely to be based on brasilia parts?
