What’s up guys!

So I have the opportunity to buy an electric rabbit truck that needs quite a bit of work to get functional again.. but I want to revive the baby or at least get it out of the field it’s sitting in!!

I work in the vehicle electrical field (solar, inverters, lithium) so I’m fully aware of what it would take to get it running..

But I’m curious to know of the actual value the way it sits..

1982 black rabbit truck with minimal rust.
GTI interior thats pretty darn clean.
Needs tires.
120v motor and older electronics/wiring existing
Needs batteries, wiring, speed controller, charge controller, up to date charging port and batteries.

Considering it’s in good shape and has great potential.. what do these go for?

Probably worth mentioning.. owner said it was built by a well known converter in the PNW through the 80s-90s. I forget his name..

Without pics, it’s hard to say.

A non-running, EV converted anything is going to be worth far less than the vehicle in its original form. Any conversion is most likely to have dubious hackery of some sort & this seller is probably happy to have you on the hook because you are interested in the fact that it is converted.

Most older EV converted vehicles usually become crusher fodder, unless another enthusiast comes along to resurrect it, or, to return it to its original form.

What are your plans for it? Toss in new batteries & hope all is well, or gut what’s there & start over? What if the reason it was parked wasn’t just due to batteries?

If it needs tires, then it probably needs brakes too.

“Minimal rust” means entirely different things depending on what region you’re in.

Unless you can ascertain that the conversion is still viable, I’d assume it was junk & you’re just buying a shell…

So, pretty fucking cheap. $600-$1,000?
