Have a 1962 convertible beetle and looking for a way to keep the back seat from coming forward while driving.
I have looked at the 67 hook/strap from WW but wonder if anyone has come up with something other than that for the earlier convertible beetles. Car is not stock so not too worried if i must go that route.
Appreciate any pictures or other ideas that have worked that are not bulky and awkward.
Thanx for the responses,

It's been a while remembering my 67.
Could you maybe add star/split washers to the back frame arms where it bolts to the body? To stiffen it up?
Are there tubular stops in the luggage area? could you maybe add rope/hook to the back of the seat that loops over the stop and you could undo that when you wanted to fold the seat down.
I dont ever remember mine falling forward.
My dad's suggestion... keep a cooler in the back seat... full and iced at all times.
(lol)
