There is a big difference. The Sharan was not sold in the US so I can only go by what I've heard. Some say it is like the original honda Oddyssey, a small minivan with no sliding side door. Storage space would be less than a US minivan.
The EuroVan is much bigger, and has more interior volume than any "minivan", largely due to its tall height and forward drivers seat. There will be room in there for LOTS of stuff and people. The EV was sold in the US. I have a 93. If you need a certain dimension, I can check it for you, but it would have more space behind the rear seat than a Vanagon, since the engine isn't back there. Load height is nice and low and the hatch opening is very large. It's a lot of vehicle, and can carry 1500 lbs payload no problem. There are also Long wheel base versions (we got winnebago campers of these) which will have even more space. Enjoy your trip. _________________ 93 eurvovan mv weekender 194k miles |
