Who dismantles vanagons and sells off the parts? I’m in San Diego.

Nobody I know of. If you have the parking space, you could buy one of these, strip it at your leisure, then turn it into a scrap yard:

Bill at Affordable German in Phoenix has a boneyard full of Vanagons. doesn't allow u-pick anymore and has a $50 minimum order for any single part as it takes time away from his mechanic work to pull it.

You can figure out what dismantler has vanagons by searching for the parts you want at car-part.com

Ok, thanks. It’s just engine cover 1/4 turn latches for a1987 Synchro.

There is a seller in the classifieds, vwcultmember, who is in LA (West Hills). They have tons of vanagon parts. I have never bought anything so I can’t give a review but you may search their stuff.

We used to have Austin Veedub but they shut down their yard. It pains me to say it, but all of these vans were crushed!

The light blue tintop in the center had a beehive in the engine bay.
