Hey guys. I have reinstalled my Norco fridge after I got it all sorted out into my 1995EVC. The exhaust/flu gasket or the exhaust comes through the body is partially missing and it’s been slathered in what I think is butyl sealant. Sticky tenacious stuff. Since part of the gasket is missing I’m wondering if it would be better to just clean everything up to the best of my ability with acetone, etc., and then apply a high temperature silicone based sealant to the gasket and body to weatherproof it. I have some copper base silicone exhaust sealant (C picture) opinions on whether this would be a good choice?

I would go with some black RTV silicone. That should seal it up just fine. IMHO you would not need high temp silicone.

Hey David, Brian, here I actually would like to talk with you about your bus bar conversion at the back of your Eurovan. I did that to mine and I’m now not having any voltage present at my battery from my brand new converter. Any chance we could talk by phone? PM me with your contact number if you prefer

Cleaned it all up with acetone and I had a tube of black RTV so I went ahead and use that to hopefully weather seal it to the body. There was a small amount of silicone squeeze out around the top half which I was happy to see and again cleaned that up with acetone.
