So my 70 baja has an old foam rubber gripped Grant steering wheel. I think it's about 10"? It's the common three spoke design with the holes in the spokes.
I think it's a terrible wheel. First off it looks tacky. I painted mine all black because the chrome started to turn orange a long time ago. It kinda fits the look of my interior, but it just looks cheap. I haven't spent any time on the interior, lol.
Anyway, what really sucks is with that little steering wheel I really have to work to turn the steering wheel. So much so that when I get to work I can feel the arthritis in my wrists barking at me.
I've never had anything but these mini Grant wheels in my Vw's unfortunately.
So I'm really tempted to go to a stock sized wheel. I don't like a big fugly adapter that I'd need to make these new steering wheels that all look like they come from Temu. Even if I have to buy a core and fix it up... _________________ Brian H.

I run a 13 in Grant, black three spoke (signature) on my FG buggy.... Anything smaller make steering hard.... _________________ “Fear The Government That Wants To Take Your Guns"

Thanks Dale. I'm talking to someone about a wheel out of a '64.
Lately, I've been driving more on the street than anything so a I think a stock looking wheel is where it's at for me. I like the look of the older. This one uses a the mustache horn bar not the horn ring. _________________ Brian H.

Stock steering wheel,
Replaced it with a Momo 14" stainless steel spoked wheel,

I've tried different wheels but always go back to the stock one.

Agree had the 13 Grant wheel not a fan. I like my stock wheel with the Brodie knob for quick off road steering corrections especially in sandy washes.
